Creating a Rubric
In this module you'll learn to create a rubric, by following these five steps:
- Define the purpose and goals of your assignment
- Choose your rubric type
- Define the criteria
- Design the rating scale
- Write the descriptors for each scale point
As you go through the steps, you'll see some examples and be asked to apply some of the concepts.
Course Project: Create a Rubric for Apple Pie
As we talk about the steps in creating a rubric, we'll build one for a "course" on making an apple pie. Look for a blue box (like this) to see an example of each step.
